HiohSec was born from immigrant root. My parents came to Ohio as immigrants and built their lives in the cultivation industry. My mom spent over 20 years working in greenhouses. My dad ran nursery operations for nearly 20 years at one of the largest in the state. They didn’t just grow plants. They built systems, managed vendors, and kept operations running through storms, seasons, and setbacks.
I am a first-generation American, raised in Ohio’s greenhouse culture. I launched HiohSec to protect the industry that shaped my family’s life. We are a cybersecurity startup based in Cleveland, focused on securing greenhouse networks, sensor systems, and compliance dashboards across Ohio. This is not just business. It is personal. I have seen the labor, the logistics, and the vulnerabilities. I watched my parents navigate complex systems with no safety net. HiohSec exists to change that.
We are early stage, but our mission is rooted and real. We’ve built breach simulation labs, outreach kits, and service cards tailored to the real pain points of cultivation. We speak the language of agriculture and we’re translating it into cybersecurity.

As part of my senior project at the University of Akron, I’m developing a prototype lab that recreates breach scenarios using actual cultivation infrastructure—sensors, wireless controllers, and cloud dashboards. The goal is to help growers see the risks and understand how to secure their systems before attackers do.
This initiative blends visual demos with real-world relevance, making cybersecurity more accessible, motivating, and tailored to the cultivation industry.
